"Preparing little ones for what’s beyond the fish bowl."

To prepare young children for kindergarten by providing fun, engaging, Bible-based lessons that are developmentally age appropriate. Little ones “little fish” are in their own little world “fish bowl” where they are surrounded by loved ones who nurture and care for them daily. We are committed to build on that love and nurturing while preparing children for the outside world where it is vital for them to learn basic life skills and academic achievements.

The Name Behind "Little Fish"

Throughout the many years of teaching preschool. Bethany Hanning has always had her classroom theme all about fish. Her passion and joy of teaching preschoolers launched Little Fish Preschool in 2021. Her reasons for this special fish theme can be remembered in three simple words…

Unique

God created each child unique and special. Some are tall, short, thin, stocky, and have different hair and eye color. Likewise, there are different types of fish. Big ones, small ones, thin ones, colored ones, some with spiny fins and smooth fins. We value and see each child as a unique creation of God.

Love

God loves us so much he created a world filled with diversity in every aspect of creation. Can you imagine if we all looked the same? We would all be like lemmings! Where is the love and variety in that? Because God loves us, we strive to teach and demonstrate His love to others.

Purpose

God created each person with a plan and a purpose in mind. For example, fish live in certain environments such as salt water, fresh water, deep water, shallow water. Every fish has specific duties they need to thrive in their environment like cleaning the environment and transporting nutrients. Similar to people, God has placed each person in a particular location to accomplish whatever task need to be done. Our goal is to identify and build children's strengths so they can grow up to be contributing members in society for God’s glory.
